I want to start off today’s blog post by telling you a funny story about how we ended up choosing to shoot in the library. I was really excited to shoot this look a few days ago. Without checking the weather, my photographer aka my best friend and I set up a time to meet & shoot. I wanted to do a pink eyeshadow look for this shoot, so I ended up getting it the day before. I got home from the gym around 8:30 pm and I was watching one of my favorite girls on IG-story and she posted the makeup package that she got and then I realized that I forgot to get eyeshadow. So quickly I ran to Walgreens and picked up several pink eyeshadows to be prepared for the look. Next morning, I woke up at 7 am and I start doing my makeup, I applied my pink eyeshadow and as I was getting ready, I heard the rain through my window! I was like no it can’t be the rain, so I checked and what did I see? It was raining. I texted my friend and said that it’s raining and we should cancel the shoot and he responded NO we can improvise. I was like where are we gonna shoot !? So we went out and drove for a good 30 minutes and we decided to go to the library:) I have always wanted to do a shoot in a library and this rainy day in LA was the perfect opportunity to do it. Now you know how we ended up at the library, let me talk about the outfit. First of all, we all know that plastic and clear things are so popular this season and I am all for it. First time I saw the clear sandals from WhoWhatWear I fell in love with immediately. Then I saw the bags in Fashion Month and I was like they are so cute. I thought it would be cool to have a clear fanny pack (belt bag). So I decided to make one for myself since I couldn’t find any I loved. It took me days to find the perfect size and shape of the plastic bag, then I had these huge safety pins that I got a year ago and I used them as a belt. I have never gotten this many compliments on even a designer bag as I got on this DIY bag. If you want one of these bags, let me know and I’ll make one for you. Now make sure to scroll down to see more pictures and links to my favorite plastic items this season.
