Fashion Weeks NYFW Travel

How I ended up at New York Fashion Week

If you are new to my blog, I am a fashion blogger based in LA and I’ve been blogging for a year and a half now. Nevertheless, my love for fashion has been constant. Even when I was a little kid, I would always watch fashion runways instead of cartoons. I always wanted to be a part of the fashion world and I feel like I am now because of my blog. I dreamed of going to fashion weeks and runway shows around the world; especially, sitting in the front row,( I mean, who doesn’t 🙂 )

Being a blogger takes so much time and energy to create content. On top of that. I do my own hair & makeup, style my outfits, edit my photos, and post on the blog & all social medias. Sometimes you have to wake up early in the morning to drive to the location & get the shots when no one is there or you have to go to bed late at night & finish the blog post so you can put it up early in the morning. With all that being said, if you love what you do, it’s all worth it. I love what I do & would never imagine myself doing anything else.

Now, you might ask, what do all these have to do with going to fashion week!  While expelling all this time and energy into my blog, I’ve worked so hard to get invited to the fashion shows. Now I can see that my hard work is paying off and big brands & companies are noticing me. When I was in Armenia, I got Invitations for almost 15 shows!!! Yes, 15 shows & I couldn’t believe my eyes when I was getting the invitations. At first, I wasn’t sure if I should go or just step back & wait for another season. Luckily, my wonderful husband was the one who pushed me to go and I did.

Got the airplane ticket and went to New York Fashion Week by myself. Didn’t have anyone to help me get to the shows and most importantly I didn’t have my photographer with me. Now here’s the cool story of how God blessed my trip to be so exciting. When I got to my hotel, they told me that my room will be ready in 2 hours. So I decided to go out and take a walk in the neighborhood to get to know where I am. I was walking down the street when I saw a girl with her camera doing a photoshoot. I thought to myself that she is a photographer, I should ask her if she has time to shoot me that week. It was one of those rare moments in my life when I went up to a stranger to ask for anything. She was a sweetheart and said she would do it. It felt like we’ve known each other for the longest time & she helped me a lot during my stay.

In summary, I want to thank all the brands & PR who have seen my work & wanted me to attend their shows.

Stay tuned for more posts about my outfit details very soon.
